Benefits to an early MBB start date?

My question is: Are there any benefits to an earlier start date with the firm or should I stick with the standard start date time frame?

Context: Hey everyone! I was lucky enough to receive a FT MBB offer for the undergraduate role. The firm let me know that typical start dates are between June and October, but there's a special opportunity to start in early 2023. I have already graduated so I wouldn't have classes or any other major commitment. Folks usually say you should take the time to travel and do other stuff, which I really would love to do! However, I don't come from an affluent background so if I wasn't starting my new job, more likely than not, I would be working at a grocery store or something to save up money in the mean time. Thanks for your thoughts!

Yes, if you start past a certain point in the year (believe end of march), you miss out on bonus considerations for that year.

So if you start in October, you forfeit the opportunity to get the max end bonus as opposed to starting in January or earlier.

People: smaller analysts start class means less competition but also less network

Work: work is slow over the summer (not too many new projects kicking off rn), good time to start because you can chill
