Entering small name consultancy for better opportunities/experience?

Hi All,

I recently interviewed at a small boutique strategy consulting firm. I also had an interview at big 4 and one MBB. I decided to take the role at the small firm as I will have more responsibilities, get to do a more varied role which I believe will cause me to develop more and faster. Part of me wanted to go for the MBB for brand name, but I didn't like the look of the job and didn't feel as much of a cultural fit. I also worked at big 'prestigious' companies for the last 2-3 years and haven't enjoyed it.

My question is: Has anyone got any experience in working for a small strategy firm? How did it go? What did you exit to? Any thoughts on my decision?

Tl;DR Joined a small firm for job satisfaction, cultural fit and job role over B4/MBB. Critiques? Thoughts?

Thanks!
