If your first round last week was in business transformation practice and you don't mind sharing, was your interview mainly case or behavioral? I have one tomorrow and it's only 30 mins with a director so I'm guessing behavioral but it's surprising that there's no case

Do you mind sharing what the interview process was like (case, ib technicals, mix,..)? Also, are there any resources you recommend for learning more about rx & turnaround and prepping for interviews?

I believe it’s office dependent. The super day used to be a mix of behavioral and technicals with a heavy emphasis on behavioral.

The technicals were straight forward, mostly accounting (cash) and insolvency oriented.

I know some offices now do a short consulting style “case” through a bankruptcy/insolvency lense, but I don’t have a ton of insight as to how the case works.

As far as resources go:
- Prepare for the table-stakes technicals as you would for IB (flashcards, WSO, reviewing accounting principles)
- Understand the role of the restructuring advisor and what they do (debtor vs creditor work varies substantially)
- Understand the fundamentals of the bankruptcy processes

As I said before, the technicals were fairly straightforward. If you’re coming from undergrad, the most important thing will be showing that you’re a good culture fit, have excellent soft skills, and are able to navigate high-pressure situations.

Hope that helps!
