How can I round my 3.748 GPA?
Would it be appropriate to round a 3.748 to a 3.75? Which can then be rounded to a 3.8? I don't want to do this if bad looks, so figured i would ask

Career Resources
would say 3.75 is fine - 3.8 is pushing it. I don’t think you’d likely to be found out for that difference, but if the hiring manager found out they likely wouldn’t be pleased
understood. thank you for the feedback.
Don't risk putting 3.8. 3.75 is fine.
understood, thanks for chiming in!
Mine as well round your 3.8 to a 4 while you’re at it
this
I assume you are talking about rounding to a 3.75 on your resume. That is okay and is standard practice. In fact, my school only rounds to 2 decimals so your GPA would be 3.75. Do not round that 3.75 to 3.80 on your resume. As others have said that's pushing it.
But if an application tells you to round to one decimal that's where it gets tricky. It should technically be rounded down, but if you rounded to a 3.75 on your resume, it's not terrible to round up to a 3.8 ONLY if it says round to one decimal. There are obvious risks to this, and you aren't being 100% truthful, but the risk reward here is up to you. If discovered which is unlikely but possible, you would have a somewhat valid defense but who knows what could happen.
Luckily most applications don't ask for rounded to one decimal.
Is it just me or was this supposed to be a troll post? It’s kinda hilarious if so
All the prospects in the comments…it is simply not that deep. I would not look at a 3.8 or 3.75 materially different. A 3.5ish vs a 3.8 or something is material. Please go touch some grass, one decimal point is fine. It is not a lie to to round to 3.8.
Just round to 4.0, its close enough
Just round to KPMG audit
