Sophomore Resume - Any tips on making this better?

Any tips on making this better?

I expect my GPA to drop a bit come third year but given these experiences, how do my chances look?

Thanks in advance.

the_rainmakerfinancial advisor associate?

i know there's like 20 different titles that people use for the same pwm internship, but i'd rephrase that

what would you put instead?

"The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money."

yeah like try Wealth management intern...

And take that shit out at the top.. that you got an A in all those classes; you sound like a tool. They dont care that you cheated your ass off in those classes, they can see that in your transcript.

Average above 80% wth does that even mean.. universally, i think anyone who went to college would know what deans list means.

Move accomplishments to the top of your resume under education..

And i would take off century 21 and try to expand on an award/accomplishment.. IMO, no one gives a fuck that you worked retail

Other than that, as a sophomore, you should be getting a good amount of interviews.. thats the least of your problems.. the chances of you nailing the interview is another story.

Best of luck.

Agree with ^^^ on removing the "got an A" and the "average above 80%" reference.

What kind of internships are you looking for? Dreamweaver and Photoshop are not very relevant if you're looking only for Consulting/Finance internships.

You say you achieved highest sales record, but don't name what it actually was. It's nice to quantify potential clients and potential revenue, but do you have any data to business that was actually closed/or clients acquired?

Also, if you remove Century 21 you could expand on one of your competitions/relevant project, especially if you had a leadership role in these.

Overall not bad for a Sophomore resume, if you can land a relevant to semi-relevant internship this summer you should have a good shot for solid internships come junior year.

Eventual goal is MBB. And yeah you're right, dreamweaver/photoshop are probably not relevant for that but they might help towards some gig for this summer, and I can't think of much else to put there. Should I just take it out?

That data is hard to get, just because I could say that any clients that sign on with the advisor after I finished were my work but that's a stretch. i based potential clients and business off all the clients that actually showed interest, and the average amount that clients usually sign on with.

There's a few things I could replace Century21 with, I am not sure what might be good. I also have experience in: - experiential marketing: work experience. worked as an ambassador for a few big-name brands on the retail end. there was travel involved and I worked with the clients (big-name brands) a lot...could be relevant.

  • school mentorship programs: extracurricular experience. i hold regular office hours to help out first years and organize events for them.

  • business club: extracurricular. executive for the central business club on campus - not much results here yet but was thinking of putting this on in the future anyways.

  • volunteer coordinator: extracurricular. high-schools required all students to complete 40 hours of volunteer service. friend started a database for volunteer opportunities. I worked as a coordinator to speak with organizations, organize the events, and provide volunteer opportunities for 1000+ students.

  • organized a art showcase and auction: extracurricular. generated $2000 for a charity.

..or like you guys mentioned, i could elaborate on one of my competitions

You need to read this word by word and remove everything that is unnecessary, redundant, too wordy, or not helpful to include (each of which is a different phenomenon)

Kill "in use of Adobe software such as" because 1) nearly everyone knows that Dreamweaver and Photoshop are Adobe software, 2) those that don't, don't care, 3) if you actually knew how to use any other Adobe programs you would have listed them, rather than implied them, so it's douchy to say

If you got top in regionals but first in provicincials, why mention provincials? If you got fifth in the world, why mention either regionals or provincials?

WTF does "more than 743%" mean? 743.6%? It is either naive, autistic, or douchy to say this.

There are easily 30+ such things in this resume, yes probably at least one per line.

Then there's grammar, formatting, higher-level stuff, etc. on top of that.
