Strategy& vs. JPM IB Credit Risk

Hey guys,

I just got two offers for summer internship: Strategy& and JP Morgan IB Credit Risk. I understand that these are very different two paths and I am personally leaning towards S& as I prefer consulting. I just want to hear about you guys' opinions on the pros and cons at two firms, especially regarding the summer internship experience. Really appreciated.

if consulting is what you want to do, do S&. I'm like 90% sure though from looking around these forums that jp pays ib risk the same as ibd, so comp there might be higher

Base Salary yes, total comp no.

really? the ppl I talked to there and everywhere on this forum says so

I worked at JPMorgan and had numerous friends in credit risk and IB....there salaries were quite different.

No one said that. Someone stated that credit risk made "much more" than operations (which I disagree with based on the data points I've seen, it was only slightly more not much more), but no one claimed credit risk made anywhere in the vicinity of IB.
