What is post-MBA MBB pay trajectory?

I'm unable to find much info on MBB comp beyond your first year post business school (165k base + 35-40k bonus). Whats the progression like after that? For IB, the information is a bit more available online:

A0: $150k + $~35k stub bonus A1: $150k + ~$110k bonus A2: $175k + ~$150k bonus A3: $200k + ~$175k bonus

Compensation at MBB is pretty similar within levels - at best from my understanding there are a couple of minor increases + more likelihood of a higher performance bonus.

MBB progression is at a highly, highly structured 2 year clip. So promo or out every 2 years (no A3) - no extended number of years at any level. Though I think Bain has an extra year buried somewhere and McK has some highly aggressive accelerated cycles..

So e.g., an EM 1 at MCK is equivalent to an A3 in your figures.

These glassdoor figures are a pretty reasonable approximation from what I can tell ON AVERAGE (McK #s are kind of fucked), *though discounted by up to ~5% or more from what you could likely expect.

Key considerations - 1. travel-related comp is no joke, no expenses 3-5 days a week and the 10-15K++ per year in points, status etc. is a material comp factor. 2. Comp is less variable, and even the variable component is significantly less impacted by market conditions. 3. You do not have to live in New York, and can live in relatively low cost of living markets without any impact on your career.

BB IB will pay you a premium to MBB consulting in straight cash comp up until partner, period. After that, not as sure. That said, it's a premium, not a monumental shift.

Though your numbers do look pretty high judging from the IB comp reports I've seen.
