Financial Leadership Development Program (FLDP) grads, advice and what are you doing now?
Hi,
I graduated this past spring and am now entering a two-year Financial Leadership Development Program (FLDP) at an F500 pharma company. My first rotation will be 8 months in the company's Treasury group, followed by Corporate Strategy, and finally Corporate Development/M&A.
I am not interested in a career in Treasury, so I am looking to bide my time while also looking to build skills (e.g., potentially pursue CFA) and relationships within the company to leverage in my future rotations.
So, two questions for anyone with FLDP experience or something similar:
- Any advice on how to spend a year in a rotation that doesn't get me up in the morning? What do you think I should be optimizing for during my Treasury rotation?
- Where did your career lead you after your FLDP?
Thanks!
