Ares Direct Lending Info
Does anyone have any updated info on Ares direct lending? Know they just raised $34B and it’s a blue chip name in the space.
Website mentions that they do senior, mezzanine and non-control equity. Would this kind of mandate (I.e., not just top of the cap stack) help with optionality in case one wanted to move out of DL into adjacent PC areas (more structured deals, event driven, / special sits, secondary market stuff)?
Any additional info on comp or WLB would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
US or London team?
US team
FWIW they also have a special situations team, so doubt Direct Lending would do proper junior/structured deals
bump
That's incorrect. Sub debt and equity is c.15-20% of all invested AUM within EDL with dedicated funds in the US.
