Exit opps from credit analyst position at a gas a company

Interviewing for a credit / contract analyst role at a large lng / natural gas firm for my first role out of undergrad. Wondering if it would be possible to use this experience to get into levfin / DCM at a bank and hopefully to bschool / private credit fund or a credit focused HF as the best possible outcome.

I’m scared that the role is too focused on natural gas trading (determining creditworthiness of trading partners and stuff like that). Just don’t want to be pigeonholed in O&G for my whole career.

I feel like starting out at a bank would be better since you get exposure to a wide range of businesses, but let me know if i’m thinking about this wrong.
