Levfin -> PC transition prep
looking to make a move to PC from Levfin…would love some advice.
Currently at a super regional in the Levfin underwriting team. Mainly doing MM LBOs, Recaps, refis etc…we do the modeling and full memo and are very close to our syndications team. We help opine on structure etc…
I want to move to PC for obvious reasons but I’m afraid I’m behind the 8 ball. My modeling is through a template and I don’t have much experience doing modeling from scratch. I also see how detailed some of these case studies are where you are pricing unitranche loans, PIK etc. I feel behind in this aspect. Obviously there are courses etc but would they technically be enough to land a PC gig? I have my CFA which doesn’t really matter here but just afraid that my current role hasn’t prepped me enough. As I’ve been practicing, I’m realizing how slow I am even in the formatting aspect of it all. Any advice?

Man formating in modelling is the least of your worries. I'm sure with some additional reps you'll be fine modelling wise. Just do all the tests you find online x2 (3 statement included)
