Project Finance Lending to Private Credit?
Anyone have insights as to the potential exit opps for PF Lending?
As I understand, the credit process we undergo would be very similar to Private Credit but our understanding of the products involved may be limited.
Would this gap in knowledge be a defining factor? Keen to hear thoughts and experiences.
Hi Analyst 1 in IB - CB, no, I never sleep and so I can respond to any lonely threads (like this one) at all hours of the night. Impressive, I know ;-)
More suggestions...
Hope that helps.

You’re going to have a tough time with traditional PC but every Pc fund has a project finance strategy and / or team
What's the major difference between PC and Direct Lending? Range of products? Would be keen to understand and learn on the side to prep for interviews.
PF is a very relevant and highly valued skill set for Private Credit. PF at banks generally tends to be focused on Energy & Infrastructure - therefore move to specialist funds focused on these sectors is common.
PS: Speaking from experience - ex PF banker now in a fund.
Thanks for the comment - did you tend more towards the lending or advisory side of PF?
lending side
Not that easy tbh, I have been there, probably more difficult if coming from a energy /renewables bakcground. The way to look at the company is very different between PF and an LBO. But you will have strong modelling and docs skills.
