Will cryptocurrency ever replace traditional currency, and if so, what will be the implications?

Experts predict that cryptocurrency adoption will continue to rise, but its full potential as a mainstream currency remains to be seen.

No. Cryptocurrency is most similar to gold, but it isn't physically difficult to transport.

It can do things traditional currencies can't but then traditional currencies can do things cryptocurrencies cannot.

The only question is what makes one cryptocurrency more special than another and likely to fill needs that other currencies and commodities cannot.
