AM Research Analyst to Sellside ER?

Looking to make this jump and wondering how to best do it?

I haven't made any formal research reports on the buy-side but have done a boat load of single name equity analysis.

Has anyone made this switch / wondering what kind of advice anyone has for making this jump.

Thanks!

Hi I've done this jump recently. If you've spoken to some brokers (research analysts/salespeople) you can network to find out if there are any openings. If not, emphasise on your cover letter your motivations for the switch. It should sound genuine and "permanent" in a sense that it should ensure the sell-side employer you are not likely to jump ship back to the buy-side once you're in the sell-side.
