CS ER series exam expectations
curious if anyone knows CS requires all 5 exams to be completed within a certain amount of months. Are associates terminated if they cant complete them?

you're not allowed to write reports or talk to clients without the exams. I would think anywhere would expect you to leave if you can't pass them.
yah for sure, im just curious if contracts will specify x amount of days to pass and if not, the person gets canned. If these things would happen.
Usually says 90 days.
Starting at mm firm in a couple of months. Contract specifies I need to pass SIE, 86, 87 within 6 months and failure to do so is grounds for “immediate termination”
What are the 5 exams? I thought it wasjust SIE, S86 and S87.
7 or SIE
63
86
87
Do you not need the SIE and the Series 7 top off?
As of now im taking the SIE, 7 top off, 63, 86 and 87... would be nice to skip the 7 if not needed, as some of it is relatively repetitive from the SIE.
Has anyone not passed one of the research analyst exam requirements or know anyone that did not who still moved into another side of banking/finance??

Idk about CS but at another BB ER people would take up to a year sometimes (I think I took about 9-10 months). Reason being though was that the analysts weren't making any time for the associates to work on the exams. I know I was getting slaughtered in those first six months.
If you're not being given a full workload early on with the understanding that you should be getting your exams out of the way, then I would assume they expect you to get it done quicker. Can't hurt to have a convo with your analyst about it to make sure everyone is on the same page and that you are setting realistic goals.
