Deal sourcing problem

Hi guys,

I'm currently working on a startup idea and would love to get some insights from this knowledgeable community.  Here's the Form, it would be great if you could fill it out for me.

Before diving deeper into this venture, I'm keen to understand if VC firms actually face challenges in sourcing deals, they want to invest in. Specifically, I'm interested in the following:

  1. Deal Sourcing Challenges: What are the biggest challenges you face when sourcing deals that align with your investment criteria?

  2. Sector-Specific Difficulties: Are there particular industries or sectors where it is more difficult to find high-quality investment opportunities? If so, which ones and why?

  3. Current Solutions: What existing platforms or networks do you use for deal sourcing, and what are their strengths and weaknesses?

  4. Importance of Vetting: How critical is the vetting process for deals presented to you? What key factors do you look for to determine a deal's potential?

  5. Platform Features: What features or services would you find most valuable in a deal sourcing platform? (e.g., curated deal flow, detailed company profiles, industry expert insights)

  6. Unmet Needs: Are there any unmet needs or gaps in the current deal sourcing process that you wish were addressed by a new platform or service?

I'm particularly interested in the perspectives of those with experience in venture capital, private equity, and investment banking. Any feedback, anecdotes, or advice would be incredibly valuable as I shape this venture.

Thanks in advance for your insights!
