Didn't convert summer, applications are going almost nowhere at the moment...stressed out and depressed because my chances are getting slim

Hey Monkeys, hope you're all doing well.

So I'm a final year semi-target student in the EMEA region. I did an ER summer internship at a top BB (GS/MS/JPM) but didn't manage to convert it. It was already tough to process at the time as I had literally put my all into trying to get a return offer, but the decision-makers thought I wasn't as good of a fit as those who received offers. Since then, I have been trying to apply to other places, with ER still as my top choice since I genuinely found the job interesting and would like to continue down that career path. I've also applied to other roles, mainly centred around Markets (S/T etc.). I was lucky that I had an extra year to find an internship (I was in my penultimate year of uni when getting the BB summer offer), but applying this year has gone so poorly so far.

Although this may sound like a bit of a bitch move, but I was wondering if I could get advice from some of you more experienced folks. Any examples of setbacks that really messed with you. I might just be a bit weak mentally, and that's why I'm freaking out about this so much despite only still being at uni. But regardless, some advice on either how I can improve my mental wellbeing or success in applications at this late stage (by November most ACs are already happening/have happened). Thanks in advance!

Was in a similar position, applying to everything that is even tangentially related. B4, small asset management firms etc. Consider doing a masters so you can apply again too if that is possible.

Did you get any feedback on why no return?
