Equity Research FT Recruiting

Not sure if anyone had insight on this, but what is research FT recruiting like? As in roles for right out of college, do any banks have specific programs for this? I remember seeing people saying a few did, but never saw proof or confirmation of it. I’m a current junior, after this summer I’ll have 4 internships, 2 in corporate finance, 1 in buy side (HF), 1 at an MM in sell side research this summer (however sort of an informal program, so don’t think it directly converts to FT like that). Just a little worried on how I’ll be able to get in full time or if for that matter. Any advice would be appreciated.

Yeah sometimes they come up, sometimes they don't. I once applied to one and got told by HR to apply for an internship instead (I was eligible and qualified for FT). You just have to look at the normal players, not too hard, there aren't really that many.

Ofc Depends on space - most teams, to be frank, don't want a grad vs like someone with 1-2YOE so demand is always limited.

You can bridge this gap sometimes by networking.
