Let's get a nice chain of 2020 comp data from folks in the credit and equity research space. I'll start:

Isn't analyst more senior than associate in ER?
I'm following conventional bank ladder, as that's how we are progressed: analyst --> associate --> VP --> ED --> MD. But yes Senior analyst is what an ED/MD are called also.
Title: Promoted to Sr associate, 3rd year Rank: They said top bucket but I don't really believe anything they tell me Firm Type/Size: Sell-Side MM Base/Bonus: $95/40> Increased my base to $115 City Description: NYC
MBA Summer Associate (M7), Large Boutique, NYC (Starting May 2020) Base: $145 (pro-rated but based on FT comp)
Literally only posting this as it seems way out of whack and I want to understand where the deviation may be - or if I am stupid lucky. Worth noting I came from a non-public markets finance role prior.
Is this for Equity or Fixed Income Research? Sell or buy-side?
Sell-side, equity.
1st year associate, Canadian sell-side, NYC (Started Feb 2020) Base: $120 Bonus: just started
Title: Senior Equity Research Associate (4th year) Rank: Top bucket Firm Type/Size: Sell-Side (Top 10) Base/Bonus: $110/50 City Description: NYC
