Excel Macro/Shortcuts for a Mac computer

So before I get absolutely lit up for asking this- I need to preface that this is my personal computer and not to be used for any serious work!!

That said, I have a new Mac and would like to be able to at least create some quick models for personal investments etc - but as many of you know, Excel sucks on a Mac. Has anyone come across any programs that have good shortcuts/macros for a Mac?

I have yet to come across any good installations/programs so would love if anyone has any insight. Thanks!!

I'd love to know as well. I use a Mac at home for a hundred and one reasons, but have to boot it into Windows if I want to get any Excel/PPT work done.

I am using Microsoft Excel. I bought the Microsoft office package so have Excel, PPT, Word, etc.

I am used to using a Training the Street macro/shortcut installation on my work machine. I have the program, but I am not sure that it is compatible with a Mac. Right now excel has all of the Microsoft features but none of the key strokes/shortcuts etc are the same...so you can imagine how annoying it is and how long it takes!

I'm also hopelessly addicted to the TTS macros - definitely took them with me to my new gig. Unfortunately though, they don't work on Mac...

I'm not sure how an external hard drive would help? I have microsoft applications on my mac. I guess I'm asking does anyone have a marcro/excel shortcut pkg that is compatible with macs?

Mac haters need to fall back. Real talk:

Tools --> Customize Keyboard

Make your own shortcuts. I took about 20 minutes setting the ones I wanted to use. And just remember that ctrl + u is the same as F2 on a windows keyboard. I think I'm faster in some ways on a mac than on a PC thanks to the custom keystrokes (pause.)

Cheers; giving you my SB virginity on this
