I am curious about equity research associate compensation structure (preferably first year associate) at different tier firms.
(signing bonus?) Base + bonus
1) Larger banks: UBS, MS, CS, DB, Barclays
2) Stifel, Oppenheimer, Macquarie, BMO, Jefferies, Janney (type firms)

Without getting into specifics, you can make salaries that are either significantly below what people on here would tell you is likely or significantly higher than what people tell you is possible. Good ER analysts draw attention, business, and prestige to their firm which is highly valuable.
