FT vs Intern Recruiting & staying a 4th year

Hello all,

I am currently a junior at a non target with a 3.46. I major in financial economics am on track to graduate this year. I have no experience in finance and would like to break into the field and am interested in any type of investment research position. I have the option to do a 1 year masters in Econ or add a second major in finance to do a full 4 years and stall so I have time to maybe get an internship in the summer and recruit for FT for summer 2022. I also have considered graduating this year and taking levels of the CFA to bolster my resume. Also maybe working in CF for a year and switching to a bank position after getting experience. I have been recruiting and networking but have yet to receive an offer. Any advice on steps I should take in order to reach my goal?
