its all relative to what ur comparing...i think people will be better able to help you if you mentioned what your other options are and what your long term goal is (seems like PE after IB but im not sure)

 

Well my other options are a big 4 accounting job, auditing the financial institutions.

And my end goals eventually are to make it into long/short fund. Just wondering if morningstar has the force behind it to get me there. Alternatively, I wouldn't be totally dissatisfied with a job on the sell side of a bulge bracket as I would definitely have the greatest opp. to move into the buyside if i wanted to.

So is it common to jump from a research house like morningstar to a bbib?
