Interview Question Help : Equity Research - PLEASE

Been invited to Equity Research Associate interview-I have been asked about stocks that I invest or have invested in- however due to financial struggles I was not able to invest (paying down student debt). What would have been a way to answer the question ?

I have not made a paper account either. So how would one handle the question on an interview?
