Is the MBA worth it for ER
If i was to go into sell side ER with the aspirations for switching over to the buy side eventually after a few years (then work up to PM) would getting an MBA in between switching further my chances of being able to get into buy side or would it just slow down my career progression.
Or maybe the CFA is the better route to go down?
Hey miles2848, sorry about the delay, but are any of these useful:

Curious On this well, am currently in ER approaching two years, I want to work for a value fund and am seriously considering trying to get into an M7 MBA to assist in the transition.
Might as well try to recruit for the buy side for a few years and go to b-school if that doesn't work out.
Do you think an MBA would be helpful down the line though, might boost future opportunities at getting a PM position or similar?
IMO if you're already in an investment seat at a good firm, it's better to continue to build experience and track record. MBA not part of the consideration of becoming a PM.
