networking for ER during earnings season
Would you advise against sending cold emails right now, during the heart of earnings season?
I want to start really hitting the ground running on networking, but should I wait a couple more weeks for earnings to die down to get a higher hit rate on my emails?

Yes, wait a few weeks. High chance your email won't be seen, or the person will forget to respond. Try to find out the companies the people you are emailing cover, and check their earnings dates.
Agree with this. Earnings “season” is irrelevant, only the release date of your coverage universe matters.
