Pivoting from compliance to GIR?
Hi all, I've been working in compliance at GS for about a year and am interested in transitioning to another area, particularly research. Research has really begun to interest me as it's much more analytical and in-depth compared to my current work.
Just to give a bit of context on my background, I graduated from a top 15 university with an undergrad degree in business. I realize I lack a lot of the technical knowledge that's necessary in GIR, so I'm currently studying for the CFA level 1 and taking different math courses on the side. Have any of you made this jump? Can you give advice on what would help me be able to transition to GIR? Thanks!
