No, won't be the same as IB analysts.
Lazard is considered a boutique ("elite boutique") like the others you've listed.
There are far fewer spots in ER than in IB.

Evercore has an ER function and actively hires, they just bought ISI which is one of the top pure research houses on the street so they will probably continue recruiting heavily from target schools.
Lazard also does have ER
They do. The elites you listed recruit from only a few target schools and do ocr. You might be able to drop your resume on their website but I wouldnt expect much outside of ocr/networking.
Didn't Lazard sell their equities desk to FBR, around a year ago?
Lazard capital markets was kept private back when Lazard went public. Lazard capital markets sold some of their teams to FBR and a few other spots. Otherwise the place wound down and no longer exists. So long story short, no more lazard equity research.
