Raymond James writing test
I've got an ER interview and I've been told I've got a 30 minute writing test to do when I go for interview. Anyone know what this could be given its only 30 mins?

The writing test is a way for them to get an idea of your writing style (grammar, etc.) and to see if you stay current with the market. I went through the process in October (got offered and accepted the job), shortly after the market dropped 7% during a week in late September. My prompt was essentially "what do you think caused that to happen." I wrote a standard essay - 1 intro paragraph, 3 content paragraphs, 1 conclusion. Equity Research requires a substantial amount of writing the higher up the ranks you get, so they need to know you can articulate your thoughts well.
