Reaching Out to a Client (PM) on a Job Posting
A PM who is a client of my company is starting a new fund at his firm focusing on a sector that I cover. He is hiring a junior analyst and from the job description, I would be a good fit. I saw the job posting on LinkedIn, and I submitted my resume. Would it be ok to take his number/ email from the CRM and reach out to him to and say I'm interested in the position? Obvious risk is he tells my boss, but I already submitted my resume, so I guess the risk is already there? Overall, I'm not sure what to do here, but I really want this role.
Thanks in advance.
