Starting out in Financial Analysis
Hi there,
I have a (young) cousin who is willing to learn about financial analysis, valuation methods etc.
He has a basic understanding of accouting and is looking for switching major next year to something more along corporate finance. Nevertheless he would like to use his summer to get up to speed with financial analysis, what should I advise him to do ?
I think that buying a book explaining all this in details would be a good idea. Rosenbaum book maybe ?
I already told him to go through this forum where he will find a lot of usefull information.
Rosenbaum, Security Analysis (Benjamin Graham).
I'm in the same boat, he should start hunting for internships.
If he has the money he should invet in breaking into Wall Street to sharpen some modeling skills.
