Typically behavioral plus a case study of some sort that almost always results in a pitch presentation at the end. Not necessarily equities, I’ve seen everything from FX to macro to fixed income. No need to study up beforehand, you’ll get all the background info you need to do the case.
Even if it's equity research it could still be FX or fixed income?
Yes. Citi’s ER case last year was a multi-asset one that was about FX and commodities IIRC. Something like that
