too late to break into equity research?
I am almost 28, but looking to make a career change to equity research. I currently work in the PWM space but as of late, my interest here has started to fade. I have completed the first two levels of the CFA and hope to have the charter next year. Am I too old to break into equity research? What else can I do to make this move happen?

Definitely not too old, research is less structured when it comes to that. The difficulty will be breaking in without more relevant experience (i.e. something more analytical/research oriented). Not impossible, but might need an MBA or another job in between that is a better lead-in to research.
MBA even with CFA?
