Both of those strat roles would be more heavily quant from my understanding so I would say if your aim is to go into a quant fund then they'd be a pretty strong starting point. The first would be more on the trading side and less quant heavy.
Is the STS position a strat role ? did the teams describe what you will be doing already (I'm guessing just at a high level) ? Feel free to PM me.
The STS is a structuring/sales strat role. They are part of the product development team and mainly focus on equity derivatives.
It's a good team. Expect to work very (very) long hours, as there have been a few recent exits. The focus won't necessarily be on alpha research but products that clients may find interesting. Still, I would think it's the better one of the 3 if you want to go to a HF afterwards, as long as comp is inline. Is it in London or NYC ?
Yes, they all work hard but I don’t mind that! As you said, they develop products for clients as the main focus but they also find alpha as part of clients’ request most of the time. The opportunity is in London.
