Apollo Credit

Fellow Monkeys,

I am trying to get greater perspective on Apollo Credit and was hoping to hear from those who are more familiar with the firm.

My basic understanding is that the Credit group is divided into a few sub-groups including: 1) Performing Credit - Seemingly focused on Asset Management 2) Private Credit / Direct Lending - Looks like a traditional BDC lending group 3) Opportunistic (Liquid & Illiquid) - Appears to be the high-profile hedge funds that do distressed debt investing 4) Structured Finance - Seemingly another Asset Management-like group 5) Non-Performing Loans - Seemingly another Asset Management-like group

My questions were: 1) Is my assessment above a fair understanding of the function of each group? 1) Recognizing the work varies by sub-group, I was hoping to get some color on the different groups within the broader Credit group (environment, culture, internal mobility, etc)? 3) Apollo's reputation in credit is well known - what other firms have a similarly strong credit platform?

Thank you for your help!
