Yup Greg is great. Think Ashler the best here. Since we're naming people (in a positive light obviously), I think Paritosh Batra is currently the best and most impressive in the sector. He + his team (many came from Anchor Bolt) are excellent. And Matt Simon - he's no longer a PM, but when you speak with him, it's clear he understands the sector on a whole different level - it's remarkable. He's by far the GOAT PnL wise. In addition (since it's such a huge sector and so many smart guys):
Chris Weltzer
Mukhtar Garadaghi
Blake Krystoff
Patrick Staub
Justin Walsh
Peter Odegard
Tim Abbott
Peter Gylfe
Several I'm forgetting, but the above are awesome. Was a smart young analyst at Viking who left recently. On single manager side, think Martin Kurtz and Will Guzick are good. Lots of $ makers

What coverage do they do? A&d, airlines, autos, machinery, ag/chems/mats, transport/logistics, housing/construction, energy?
LOL spot on. Was gonna write a long post about all the names in this thread but thought not worth the risk.... honestly think half of the posters are prob BD or pods juniors /intern trying to stoke ego. There are some nightmare PMs with terrible reputation on the other list as well FWIW. Seriously doubting the integrity of this forum tbh

Wow thanks for sharing! Know a few of these and totally agree. How high was Matt’s PnL to be the goat?
Could you elaborate a bit on what makes them ahead of the competition? Anything specific to their way of thinking about the cycle?
PS got large package from Surveyor
My pm says thank you. I work for one of these :)
