Breaking into Credit HF

Currently one year into my analyst stint at BB coverage. Thinking about making a switch to the credit side and I want to eventually end up at a credit HF. Have looked into switching to HG DCM group at the bank, should i consider a move to S&T or even ER. I have support internally so I should have some options. Also heard about principle book investments group as well. I don't know much other than they invest in public debt securities with excess deposits. Seems like the closest thing to credit HF internally but i am not sure about exits.

I think it is the easiest move to make however have heard HG DCM is pretty bad in terms of exits so worried about moving and getting stuck.
