Bridgewater Investment Engineer
Hey everyone,
Does anyone know anything about this position? I was contacted by a recruiter on linkedin and I was wondering if this is a good opportunity.
My background is a top biomedical engineering undergrad/grad education, and I currently work in the medical device industry. I am indeed interested in moving into the investing side of things, but I was more focused on healthcare-focused VC, though a healthcare focused hedge/crossover fund sounds great as well.
My concern is that it would be moving me away from my deep sector experience. I'm wondering if it is a chance to "break in" to investing, or if it will pigeon hole me with macro global experience a few transferable skills. Any thoughts?
Yes, you won't be sector specific. And chances to lateral are tough. But read about the culture and if you like it, it's worth a shot.
