Bridgewater or Marshall Wace

Hey everyone,

I'm a junior looking to intern at an HF this summer. I've received two offers, one from Bridgewater, and the other from Marshall Wace (a London-based hedge fund). I'm really not sure what to do, so I guess a few questions:

1) can anybody who worked at Bridgewater tell me if the culture is as scary as it's supposed to be? 2) at Bwater, I'd probably be doing global macro and at MW I'd be doing equities, which one do you guys think is more interesting and has more exit ops 3) which firm do you guys think has more potential for advancement and is generally more interesting

Thanks

yea i know someone who interviewed there who didnt get the offer but the lack of any sort of return offer guarantee made her wary

i personally would lean Bridgewater to secure a return offer then recruit for ft with that in your pocket, if you want to do something else
