Hedge fund analyst salaries

Analyst - part of an event driven hedge fund (20 to 50 billion assets). Manage about 150-200 million in concentrated credit positions with mid teen to late teen return (ex leverage) folding directly into an MD / PM.

Context - Setting up our business in Asia so idea isn’t to grow our portfolio aggressively but to make our presence felt (build for the longer term). Hence the size of this sub pod is relatively small group manager 7/8 billion of risk.

Question - Gauging by payouts on the analyst side for London, Chicago, New York our payouts are super low - one third (fixed lands nearer to USD 105000); how should I think about the variable pay?

Is there some form of ball park estimation on compensation for analysts is designed in developed markets - % of PL or AUM.
