Hedge Fund Offer Timeline!
How long does it take to hear back from a hedge fund post-case? Waiting to hear from one but it's been almost 6 weeks since the case? is that a wrap or am I still in it?
Thanks in advance everyone for the help

Not too much experience with HF, however, with PE cases/timeline. I usually ask for information after 2 weeks have passed.
6 weeks does not have to mean your out but it is still very long to not have any feedback.
Have you tried following up?
I have, and they relayed to me they're interviewing other candidates but my candidacy is still very much under consideration. The HH made it sound like I have not been dinged from the process yet and nobody else has made it past the stage I was at
six weeks is kinda long you might be the second or third choice. it could also be they’re very busy given what’s happening in the markets
Yeah, they're most likely keeping you in the hopper while they look for someone better. So until you have another offer to show them, I wouldn't expect much to happen here.
Would just move on and keep interviewing. The best way to get them to make a decision is to come back with another offer in hand.
When you say that you have another offer, how do you prove them? Like you have to send screen (?) if not can’t you just fake it?
I assume you have other interviews lined up so try your best to convert those (even if offers are not comparable). I would not lie about an offer if you don't have one.
In my personal experience, funds sometimes take a bit to go through their interview process. If you have another offer, it will force them to speed it up if they want you.
Why? If you don’t have an offer and they are probably going to ding you, doesn’t it make sense to lie about an offer?
And what is the upside in this situation? That you get an answer?
If you lie about an offer you won’t go from “no offer” -> offer, you just go from no info -> info (with a few downsides). Even if the chance is small that they are still considering you, lying about an offer is a bad idea (generally if they are on the fence and forced to make a decision they’ll come back with a no, or even worse they can ask for proof of an offer and you are F’d). So you’ll get info, and that decision may have been forced to a no based on your actions (I’ve never seen someone get their hand forced and change their mind from no to yes, only decide that if they are forced they’ll reject the candidate rather than rush a decision)
So again, what are you trying to get from lying?
