How to actually break into the field?
So I have literally no experience in the financial industry.. There got that out of the way. However, I do have plenty of experience handling financial information, albeit not equity related, at least in a professional sense.
My undergrad degree is not related to finance, but I am going to graduate school for my Masters in Accounting & Finance. Problem is what do I do with it once I finish? I'd love nothing more than to get into some type of HF, but I'm not naive and I know that's hard to do.
Where can I start though? What are some positions that I should be looking into so I can gain the right experience so that I CAN work at a HF someday. I'd really love to be an analyst, but I know they don't just hand those positions out to be people without proving themselves, so I guess that's ultimately my real question.. How do I prove myself? What entry level positions are out there to prove myself?
Thanks for any help you can give me.
You provided too little information about yourself, and your skills outside “wanting to be an analyst” for anyone to provide a decent answer
it also depends on what type of HF you want to join
I'm open to a variety. Long-only funds, Short-only funds, emerging market funds, macro funds.. I wouldn't want to limit myself.
Yep and I’m open to dating any of the Victoria Secret’s models
ok
LOLLL this guy
Tbh this post screams "I watched billions once, now I want to be an HF Analyst".
