ONEX L/S Global Special Situations Group

Hello,

I am an Equity Research Associate at a Big 5 in Canada. I recently have been looking into the Hedge Fund space and stumbled across the L/S Global Special Situations and U.S Equities Group at Onex. I understand that the group is under Gluskin Sheff since they acquired them in 2019 but was wondering if anyone has any further information on the group?

Specifically, what do they invest in and what are their strategies? Is it a solid group? How much of the group is Onex and how much is Gluskin Sheff? Would really appreciate it since it seems like there is nothing else like this in Canada.
