Pershing Square
Interesting that Pershing Square manages around $20B in assets but only have around 10 investment analysts. Looking at their backgrounds, they don't hire MBAs but recruit those who did standard top banking+PE route (Goldman/KKR, Goldman/Apollo, Centerview/Warburg Pincus, Evercore/Hellman & Friedman). Surprised at how lean they are given the AUM size. And those guys are probably making ~$1M/year on average.
And if you don't waste time stating the obvious, you probably have a shot working back office there
Not a fan of mental masturbation of pay but saying 1M/year for a team of 10 that probably takes in a quarter of a billion on management fees alone is crazy.
Median pay of $1m seems more reasonable, definitely not on average.
Just out of curiosity, if you were to ballpark it would you imagine in the ~$10M range ? Higher?
With AUM of $2 billion per head, their pay is probably much higher
It's worth remembering they were down HSD in 2022.

I'm just waiting to find out 6 months from now what his actual positioning is. He can't stop tweeting about how the banks will fail and yet claims he has no long/short positions in the banks so he can continue to be part of the conversation (giving pontificating VC vibes).
I know he's smart and greedy so just know he's talking up some indirect bet again.
