Point72, Balyasny, Citadel vs. Trian vs. Baupost vs. Bwater vs. Bracebridge

Hi guys, I don't post on here often but wanted to hear some opinions on these firms. What do you guys think about learning, pay, career progression/avg. tenure. Without giving away too much information, I will have the chance to intern at a couple of these places (depending on which ones I target) so I'm thinking in terms of an FT role - assuming I receive a RO. I really, really like activism and applying a private markets lens in the public markets but other firms here are also extremely solid so I don't want to keep a closed mind. Longer-longer term, I also plan to start my own fund in a decade or so. Thoughts?

Thank you!

These firms are so drastically different the comparison isn't even really possible. But Baupost seems by far the best opportunity. (I know very little about Bracebridge, but I believe it's solid). Tria

Baupost doesn't hire undergrads though, so you're out of luck. Realistically you're probably assuming you'll get an offer from P72/Citadel/BWater. P72 and BWater are fairly awful, and Citadel is super hit or miss, so I would just do IB. Or maybe you're super well connected and will get an internship at Trian through that, in which case just do it because you're super fortunate.

Thanks for the response and yeah, they really aren't comparable at all. I've just been trying to decide what strategy I want to do which has been pretty hard, but right now it's between activism and fundamental deep value. I've spoken to Baupost and they can give a return but it's a high bar. No word on Trian in terms of returns - I just know the door is open there for something in the future.
