SIG QT superday

I have an upcoming superday with Susquehanna quant trading. It's going to be an onsite interview. I am wondering if anyone has done an onsite interview with them before (or any other comparable firms) and if anyone could share some insights. I think I am well-prepared for probability brain teasers, having gone through the green book several times. But I heard that they make candidate play trading or probability games against each other, so I am wondering what these games look like, and if there is a resource aggregating these games. Thanks!

Based on the most helpful WSO content, here are some insights for your upcoming superday with Susquehanna (SIG) for a quant trading position:

  1. Probability and Mental Math:

  2. Trading and Probability Games:

    • Candidates often play trading or probability games during the interview process. These games are designed to test your decision-making skills under uncertainty, market making, and understanding of probabilities.
    • A typical game might involve making markets or bets on different scenarios. For example, you might be given a set of cards and asked to make bets based on the probabilities of certain outcomes.
  3. Interview Process:

    • The interview process can include multiple rounds of games and brainteasers. For instance, you might be given 100 chips and asked to make bets and markets on different games shown to you. The first set might be a "training" set, which won't count towards your final assessment.
  4. Resources:

    • While there isn't a specific resource aggregating all these games, practicing with a variety of brainteasers and market-making simulations can be beneficial. You can also try to simulate these games with friends or use online resources to get a feel for the types of questions and scenarios you might encounter.
  5. General Advice:

    • Stay calm and think logically through each problem. The interviewers are looking for your thought process and how you handle pressure.
    • Be prepared to explain your reasoning and approach to each problem, as this is often as important as getting the correct answer.

Good luck with your superday!
