Unit economics questions

Curious how people model out unit economics when you don’t have enough data to create a 1:1 idea. For example if you’re given price, Fx, volume as growth (% change) as opposed to the literally units sold, how are you figuring out the unit economics?

im assuming for companies where units sold is given you’re then doing segment revenue/unit and then dividing by the segments’ cogs -> if you don’t have a clear cut way to get segment level data needed either I’m not sure how you get to a reasonable answer

just curious how people go about modelling unit economics and how they use it to drive their model
