Unit Economics by Industry - List
- Does anyone have a list of relevant Unit Economics by Industry -- the Basic Economic Unit driving the revenue in each industry or subsector (e.g. the Basic economic unit for a services company is usually 1 customer).
- Do you find Unit Economics analysis helpful when trying to understand the revenue generation model of a potential PE target?

Unit economics is really intriguing when the up-front capex is high, and the variable cost is very low.
I.e. anyone can spot a great business that has $0 capex and has fantastic margins per unit, but you can set yourself apart by finding the companies where the high capex upfront scares people off, but the unit economics are attractive. A good recent example would be Bird scooters.
