what strategies will prevail?

between macro (systematic and discretionary), activist, credit, l/s equities, etc. Which strategies will prevail?

Many are facing challenges right now. Activists faced very bad returns last 5-10 years. Macro, although with strong results in 2021 and 2022, is shifting towards more systematic strategies. Many S/M funds took a taildive after riding easy markets for a decade, while l/s MM HFs seem to kill the game.

Could any strategies see a revival, depending how you view the direction of the American economy in the next 10 years?
