goldman mhow helpful is it to put on my resume? will the company think that it is too short?

What you need to do is start mid-month and end in the middle of the next month. For example's sake, let's say you work from mid-August to mid-September for a one month internship, this translates into a two month internship on your resume because you just put "August 2010 - September 2010"

Just do a good job and they will probably let you continue for a while once school starts. This is a boutique, they can be flexible.
